I REMOVED THE SIDE COVER AND VALVE COVER FOR INSPECTION AND I FOUND IT TO HAVE ONE BROKEN LIFTER, THE VALVES DO MOVE FREELY IN THE HEAD BUT THE LIFTERS ARE STUCK/FROZEN IN PLACE. I DID NOT INVESTIGATE ANY FURTHER SO I CAN'T SAY FOR CERTAIN BUT I BELIEVE THIS IS WHY THE ENGINE WON'T TURN OVER. AFTER MY INSPECTION I REINSTALLED THE VALVE AND SIDE COVERS.

THE CONDITION OF THE REMAINING INTERNAL PARTS ARE UNKNOWN. THIS WILL MINIMALLY NEED THE ONE BROKEN LIFTER REPLACED AND THE REMAINING LIFTERS WILL NEED TO BE FREED UP. THIS ENGINE SHOULD FIT MANY YEARS OF PASSENGER & TRUCK APPLICATIONS FROM THE LATE 30'S THROUGH MID 50'S. THERE IS A COMPATIBILITY CHART FOR A ROUGH IDEA OF POSSIBLE VEHICLE FITMENT BUT THIS IS NOT GUARANTEED.
