It is always recommended to bring used cylinder heads to a machine shop for inspection upon receipt of the head. Resurfacing and replacement of valve seals are recommended to ensure good operation of the cylinder head assembly.
Crankshafts and camshafts are stock size and unmodified unless otherwise noted. Cranks are checked for defects and scoring or pitting of the journals.Crankshaft journals may sometimes have staining. This is due in part to the cleaning process and does not necessarily indicate damage. It is recommended to bring the part to a local machine shop for inspection upon receipt.
Pistons are checked for damage, warping, or seizing of the pin. When purchasing pistons we strongly recommend that you send us your bore or piston diameter along with the cylinder bank or number. Engine blocks are checked for cracks and damage. Cylinder walls are checked for excessive wear, pitting, and scoring. Used Engine Blocks should be brought to a machine shop for inspection. All engine parts should be inspected upon receipt. It is always recommended to bring used engine parts to a machine shop for inspection before installation.We are Zona Motor LLC.
