He was the Master at the PanShovel. My DaD had the first ShovelHead to break 10s in the quarter-mile in the mid'70s. That bike is still in our family. When my DaD would build an engine it would last for decades. My DaD was a Builder's Builder.
I have a few motors left that my DaD built either for a project bike or to trade for something else. My DaD bartered for everything and Harley Engines were his gold. My DaD did everything in the process from welding, to boring cylinders, to going through every little detail in the engine using top grade parts such as Andrew components. My DaD rebuilt the fly wheels and balanced them By hand.
He then tested every engine he built. For sale I have an Evo inspired Big Twin Custom Motor my DaD built for a future project bike. If you are looking to build a custom, unique bike, this is a great start. Any more info you'll have to get from the pics. The Big Twin for sale is the first few pics.
The last few pic is of another motor he was building. The last pic is him setting the record in the'70s. The Quarter-mile in 10 seconds. Needless to say that everything would have to be paid for first. Feel free to DROP ME A LINE if you want to deal directly.I will be listing other items from my DaD's shop.
